The Metal Rolling Works Limited was established in the year 1936 to manufacture Aluminium, Brass and Copper Rolled products. The Company was set up as a wholly-owned subsidiary Of LALLUBHAI AMICHAND LIMITED (Estd. 1911), leading manufacturers and exporters Of Aluminium and Stainless Steel Kitchenware. The Metal Rolling Works Limited was formally incorporated in the year 1948. The Company's Sheet Rolling Mills was One of the earliest to function in Western India, catering Aluminium, Brass and Copper Sheets, Strips , Circles etc to the Kitchenware Manufacturers and other general industrial purposes. The Wire Rods Division was set-up in the year 1976 to manufacture E.C. Grade and Commercial Grade Aluminium Wire Rods, Alloy Rods etc.
E.C. grade Aluminium Wire Rods is the main raw material for manufacture of AAC/ACSR Conductors, Cables etc. required for the transmission and distribution of power. Right from its inception, this Division has been catering to the requirements of leading Cable and Conductor Manufacturers in India by supplying quality Wire Rods in Coils as per buyers specifications. Cable and Conductor manufacturers supplying to Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCL), to fall in line with its rigid quality control parameters, prefer our Wire Rods for production of Cables and Conductors. RPG Cables Ltd, Bombay Conductors and Electricals Ltd, Apar Industries Ltd, Smita Conductors Ltd, poly Cab Industries Ltd, Hindusthan Vidyut Products Ltd etc. are our customers to name a few. The Plant is well-equipped with all in-house Testing facilities, located in Companies own spacious industrial land with ample Power, water, highly-skilled labour and above all, proximity to Mumbai and Nhava Sheva sea Ports. Of late , the Company has also started exporting its Wire Rods to foreign buyers, conforming to their exacting international standards.
